Although when on a Keto diet it is recommended to have as no fruits and as little vegetables as possible due to their high carbohydrate amounts, there are some fruits and vegetables with low enough counts to eat. This means it is not necessary to cut out your favourite breakfast fruits or smoothie foods!

Keto Breakfast

When people think of breakfast foods they think of cereal, pancakes, and toast, but if you are trying to succeed with a Keto diet these are all high carb foods that you can not be eating. The fastest, easiest, and healthiest breakfast alternative is eggs. You can make eggs in so many different ways. They provide a great source of protein and therefore long term energy. Making eggs can be very yummy if you know the right way how too.

Is Keto the Best Diet For You?

Although the Keto diet has rapidly taken over as the newest and coolest diet, is it really the best diet for you? The majority of the time the Keto diet is extremely successful with weight loss, but what are the side effects. The diet has some good side effects such as weight loss, helping insulin resistance individuals, as well as it helps improve blood glucose levels. But with all of the good effects of Keto, comes negative effects as well. For one, you are limiting the foods you eat greatly. It is difficult to maintain over a very long period of time for many people so if you are to go off of the diet you are likely to gain back the lost weight. And finally being on a Keto diet can cause you to get headaches, have bad breath, constipation, and lack energy that would otherwise be provided by glucose. Due to the lack of energy, your body may begin using the energy provided by your muscles which will slowly reduce your physical strength over time. To go with the Keto diet trend may work for some people, but for others it can be a struggle and come with side effects that are not worth it for them. Before going on a diet it is important to insure you know all the facts, the good and the bad, so insure that you do your research.

Just because you are Keto doesn’t mean you can’t have a yummy dessert too! One super easy recipe to make is these Keto Blueberry Cheesecakes. All you need is 4 oz. cream cheese at room temperature ,1/4 cup unsalted butter at room temperature, 1/4 cup extra virgin coconut oil, 2 Tbsp. Erythritol, 3/4 cup fresh blueberries plus some for toppings, and 1 Tbsp of fresh lemon juice plus zest of 1 lemon. All you need to do is combine the cream cheese, butter, coconut oil, and erythritol in a bowl using a high speed blender. Once they are properly mixed together you may add in the blueberries, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Once this has been prepared you mold the batter into muffin tins or silicon muffin cups. Then you may lightly press the blueberries into the muffins as a topping. After this you must freeze the cheesecakes for approximately 2 hours before they are ready to eat!!! This recipe shows an easy and quick way to be Keto and enjoy every minute of it!

How to Successfully Keto

When on a Keto diet it is important to remember that the goal is to consume as little carbohydrates as possible. Primarily this means you are consuming mostly fats and protein. Although this seems like it would be a very heavy diet to be on, it is not as hard as it seems. Being on a Keto diet means eating vegetables, meats, fish, cheese and other dairy products, eggs, and natural fats such as butter and olive oil. This variety of food choices can make so many different meals and snacks that are easy to prepare and yummy to eat. Ideally you are trying to have below and average of 50 carbs per day. By doing this your body will successful remain in Ketosis and continue to burn your fat. To successfully succeed at remaining in Ketosis you need to avoid certain foods such as fruits, breads, pastas, potatoes, candies, and any other high sugar high carb foods. This will insure that the diet works perfectly!

What is Keto?

Keto is a new, in trend diet, made to help people lose weight and feel like their best selves. It is based off of the fact that it helps the human body used small fuels known as Ketones when there is an absence of glucose. The reason the Keto diet is so successful is because it switches your bodies primary energy source from glucose to ketones allowing your body to burn fat basically 24 hours 7 days a week. The Keto diet is a healthy and natural way to help someone lose weight. Although it may seem like switching energy sources within the body could be dangerous although this isn’t the case, the Keto diet is a very healthy one. The only time that a Keto diet could be dangerous is if someone is diabetic, pregnant, or has high blood pressure. Other than that the diet is extremely easy, safe, and successful. Being on a Keto diet means you eat as little carbs as possible. It is recommended that someone trying to successfully accomplish a Keto diet eats everything with less than 50 net cabs. Trying the Keto diet may seem difficult at the beginning, but over time it will become a natural habit and benefit you in many ways.
